The Chronic Dev Team Updates Absinthe Jailbreak Tool

May 28, 2012
Last week, the Chronic Dev Team launched Absinthe 2.0: a new jailbreak tool, which has the power to "liberate" our iOS 5.1.1-powered iDevices (even those sporting an A5X-processor). However, on the same day, Apple launched a mysterious new build of iOS 5.1.1 for the GSM iPhone 4 only ("9B208") - naturally, this confused matters, as jailbreakers weren't sure whether Absinthe 2.0 (or 2.01) supported this new build of iOS 5.1.1. Now, jailbreak fans sporting a GSM iPhone 4 need not fear: the Chronic Dev Team has updated Absinthe (to 2.02), adding full support for build 9B208 of iOS 5.1.1. Like before, the updated version of Absinthe can provide an untethered jailbreak for users, allowing fans to install the Cydia Store (and the countless tweaks Cydia offers) on their iDevice.
