New iPhone Case Made Of 100 Percent Recyclable Material

May 9, 2012
For those environmentally conscious out there, new rPET case series from Case-Mate is composed of 100 percent recyclable PET material. The case, designed to fit both the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, is made of approximately one recycled water bottle. Here’s a quick promotional video of the case series. Click here if you can’t see the video. The translucent case lists for $30 and can be purchased directly though Case-Mate’s site. Case color choices include pink, orange, lime, turquoise, black, and white. If you’d like to try your hand at winning a free case, there will be more than 5,000 given away during the Dasani Designed to Make a Difference Tour that will make more than 50 stops through October at college campuses, amusements parks, and music festivals. More about the tour can be found on Dansani’s Facebook page. While the design isn’t exactly new, it’s nice to see Case-Mate using recycled materials for iPhone cases. Now if everyone would simply drink tap water instead, there wouldn’t be any water bottles that need recycling.
