Route Update Features Updated UI, Upgraded Search Features

May 25, 2012
If you're ever looking to determine the shortest route between multiple destinations, the recently updated Route app definitely looks like a good choice. Version 1.2 of the app is highlighted by a refreshed UI and upgraded search features. Users of the app can now search for contacts with addresses and for a business by name. Route now also allows the ability to add your current location and to modify a destination name. The app is designed to solve an interesting dilemma – the best way to travel between more than a single destination. Supporting 100 unique stops per route, destinations can be added as the current location, an address, searching for a business, or from information in your contact list. Some of the ways to Route can be used is to save gas, calculate a delivery route, or plan a multi-destination vacation. Unlike other apps, Route is fully functional after purchase and doesn't require any in-app purchases to design a route between a large number of addresses. Here's a quick video of how the app works. Route is a universal app designed for both the iPhone and iPad and can be downloaded in the App Store for $1.99.
