Streamline Studios Releases First iOS Title - Axon Runner

Streamline Studios has just released their first iOS app, Axon Runners, a third-person auto-running game. Well, it's more of an auto-hoverboarding game, but you get the idea. In Axon Runners, you'll glide through the beautiful cityscapes of Persepolis and Nightstream on your choice of 10 different hoverboards. Each board has its own special attributes to help you collect energy orbs and destroy any obstacles blocking your path. Uncover the Nightstream's mysteries through 15 levels of fast-paced action. Performing jumps and other quick moves will help maximize your score. Although this is Streamline Studios' first iOS title, Axon Runners looks like a pretty polished experience in its gameplay trailer: Each course is navigated by using swipe gestures to move and jump. You can earn more points depending on your speed, but obstacles will be difficult to avoid at higher speeds. Of course, you can always destroy the obstacles in your path, but that will reduce your speed. You'll have to move fast and think even faster. Let's just hope that Coke advertisements aren't subliminally laid out through each course. I'm more of a Pepsi guy, anyway. Axon Runners is available in the App Store for a (somewhat) steep $3.99. Unfortunately, according to the app's release notes, Axon Runners is only for "iPad 2, iPhone 4, and later models." Hopefully an update will be available soon for Axon Runners to be compatible with older iDevices.
