Foldify Unfolds In The App Store To Help You Make Amazing Papercrafts
December 13, 2012
If you ever need to make a case for the continuing existence of printers in a world that's increasingly becoming paperless, you'll do well to consider the newly released Foldify app.
When I first found out about Foldify a couple of weeks ago through its wonderful trailer, which you can watch below, I was absolutely delighted by it. And now that it's finally released in the App Store, I'm all prepared to be delighted even more.
Foldify is an iPad app that promotes plication. Don't worry, that's just a fancy term for the act and procedure of, well, folding. More specifically, Foldify promotes papercraft, or the art of making figures out of sheets of paper.
Basically, Foldify lets you draw and create printouts that you can cut and fold into beautiful 3-D figures.

You don't even have to be skilled at drawing to take full advantage of Foldify's features. The app is powered by an easy-to-use interface that lets you see a live 3-D preview of your work in progress. Also, it includes a variety of templates, stamps, and tools you can use to easily make figures in a jiffy.
Foldify also features an online repository of figures where you can share your own creations and browse the creations of other users. Outside this repository, you can also share your creations with your friends via email, Facebook, and Twitter.
Compatible with iPad 2, iPad (third generation), iPad (fourth generation), and iPad mini running iOS 5.0 or later, Foldify is available now in the App Store for the special half-off launch price of $1.99.
