CES 2013: RokForm Unveils RokDock And New iPhone 5, iPad mini Cases

January 11, 2013
At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) we found out about RokForms new line of iPhone 5 and iPad mini accessories. If you are looking for a new case to show off your new gadget, RokForm has what you need. The RokDock is a heavyweight charging station for the iPhone 5. The 3 pound dock box is made from solid aircraft grade aluminum. The reason it is so heavy is for one-handed removal of your device. If you’ve ever tried to take your iPhone out of a lightweight docking station, you’ll know that the whole thing lifts up if you don’t anchor it with one hand. The RokDock makes it simple by staying put when you remove your device. It is currently available for $99 from the company’s website. RokForm also has a new iPhone 5 case that features the iconic Remote Mounting System that the company is known for. The Remote Mounting System includes a disc-like mount that can be stuck just about anywhere using a 3M adhesive strip. The case then locks to the disc for removable mounting anywhere. The new Rokshield v3 iP5 Case also includes the magnetic kit, which allows you to mount your iPhone 5 to any magnetic surface. It is available now from the company’s website for $49.

The new Rokshield for iPad mini also incorporates the Remote Mounting System and includes four magnets so you have more stability when sticking the tablet to a magnetic surface. The Rokshield for iPad mini comes with the Swivelmount Suction Mount, which sticks to flat, shiny surfaces using super strong suction cup grips. The ball joint head moves in almost any direction, allowing for a nearly unlimited number of viewing angles. The Rokshield for iPad mini will be available soon from the company’s website for $49. The Swivelmount will be an additional $49. Check out the video below of AppAdvice’s Dom Esposito talking with Ashley from RokForm.
