Record Your Delicious Food Moments Even When You're Offline With Burpple

January 23, 2013
Burpple, the smart and social food journal app, has just burped up a significant new update. "We’ve clocked miles on our travels over the holiday season, and we can safely guess a good half of your pictures are of your favorite food moments on your travels," say the folks behind Burpple in a post on its official blog a couple of days ago. "Unfortunately, many of these memories will stay in the cold circuitry of your phone forever. So today, we’re offering a new way to revive your travel memories and turn your phones useful for all your future travels — even without network coverage." That's right: Burrple's latest update adds support for food journaling even without network coverage. Even without Wi-Fi, LTE, 3G, EDGE, or what have you. Or in this case, what have you not. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. As demonstrated in the video above, offline Burppling is easy as pie. (Mmm, pie ...) Just take or add your photo, enter a description, choose a box, specify the date and location, and select your sharing options — the same steps you would do when you're online. Then, once you're already back online, you can finally share your food moment with just a tap. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later, the newly updated Burpple is available now in the App Store for free. The new version of the app also features notification settings configurable for your iDevice and email. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
