See The iPhone 5 Next To The Upcoming BlackBerry Z10

January 21, 2013
Austrian site Telekom-Presse has released photos and a video featuring BlackBerry’s newest smartphone, the Z10, which is slated for release at the end of this month. The site compares the Z10, BlackBerry’s first phone running the BB 10 operating system, to Apple’s iPhone 5. The Z10 features a 4.2-inch screen, and as you can see from the pictures and the video, it is both larger and thicker than Apple’s iPhone. According to Telekom-Presse, the phone is 12 grams heavier, but features a removable back plate with access to an 1800 mAh battery, and the MicroSIM, and MicroSD cards. With its larger screen, the Z10 also sports a higher resolution. It comes in at 1280 x 768, compared to the iPhone’s resolution of 1136 x 640, giving the Z10 a pixel density of 355 per inch, which beats the iPhone 5’s ppi of 326. BlackBerry 10 is noted to be quite speedy, and operates as fast or faster than the iPhone 5 (in the tester’s opinion, of course). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UK0hWJEr874 BlackBerry’s Z10 is expected to be officially announced at RIM’s BlackBerry event, which will take place on January 30. The phone is expected to retail for less than $199, the price point of the iPhone. Via: Cult of Mac
