Cydia Founder Addresses Outtages Caused By Evasi0n Jailbreak

February 5, 2013
For those new to jailbreaking, yesterday was an interesting day. The Evad3rs team finally released their long-anticipated evasi0n untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 5. As a result, however, Cydia slowed to a crawl for most users. Now, Cydia promises things are about to get better. In a post, Jay Freeman states:
Traffic from evasi0n has caused many errors. After 19 hours of work (and with tons of code rewritten; BigBoss, ModMyi, and I have all made major changes), things seem stable, despite continuing traffic.
This is great news, and we should applaud Freeman and the others for their efforts.
