The Wall Street Journal app has received a new update. Version 5.1 includes better social networking integration and more. For the first time, app users are able to share stories via Facebook and Twitter. Users are also now able to share articles via Messages when iOS 6 is installed. Additionally, the publication now makes it easier to switch between the Today and Now Editions through the Sections menus. Other features include:
  • Local Language Editions for Japan and Korea.
  • Fixes bug where App froze after viewing a video.
  • Fixes crash when attempting to view saved issues.
The Wall Street Journal app first arrived soon after the iPad debuted in April 2010. Last September, the app went universal. The app is free to download in Newsstand. Subscriptions are available via in-app purchases.
