Viddy Gains Video Reposting Capability And Other Improvements

March 16, 2013
The so-calledInstagram for video” app Viddy has just snapped another significant update. The new update comes just over a couple of weeks after Viddy's big 2.0 update. Most notably, Viddy 2.0 increased the duration of videos that can be recorded and subsequently shared in the app. Previously, the app allowed for the recording of a video of up to 15 seconds. Now, the app enables you to record a video of up to 30 seconds. That's five times as long as the video length allowed by the video sharing app of the moment, Vine. In addition to that improvement and many others, Viddy 2.0 introduced 15 new video effects and eight new music tracks. And the latest update of Viddy adds another track and new vignettes for four filters. The new music track is "Wild for the Night" by A$AP Rocky, and the new vignettes are for Zino, Dewey, Soho, and Venice. Furthermore, a number of other improvements are included in the new version of Viddy. There's now the ability to repost videos to your followers and the ability to invite your Facebook and Twitter friends to use Viddy. Camera options are now also available before and after recording a video segment. Plus, a one-time username change can now be made in the Edit Profile screen. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later, the new version of Viddy is available now in the App Store for free. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
