Charity Auction For Coffee With Tim Cook Exceeds $500,000

April 26, 2013
And you thought your favorite latte was expensive. A charity auction that features a coffee with Apple CEO Tim Cook has hit $505,000 -- with 18 days to go.  The proceeds of the auction will benefit the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights and is being hosted by CharityBuzz. Launched earlier this week, the coffee auction has now surpassed the record of $255,000 bid for the chance to spend a day with former president Bill Clinton. The auction ends on Tuesday, May 14. As Brent Dirks reported, “the experience is valid for two people and will last anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour. It will be scheduled at a mutually agreed upon date. Travel to Apple’s headquarters isn’t included.” For the winning bidder, hopefully the coffee includes some Danish too. To place your bid, visit the CharityBuzz website.
