Convertible Celebrates First Anniversary With Biggest Update Yet

April 19, 2013
A year ago, the popular conversion app Convertible was released in the App Store, complete with standard and nonstandard conversion capabilities. Now, in celebration of its first anniversary, Convertible has been issued what is said to be its biggest update yet. The latest update to Convertible introduces compound units, enabling you to display and edit compound values for various units. It also brings support for two conversion categories, namely, power and pressure. In addition, it delivers the following major changes:
  • Favorites are now grouped together at the start of the unit list
  • Increased decimal precision on very small numbers
  • Significantly improved currency update speed
  • Display and edit fractional values for compound inches and ounces
  • New style number pad now matches selected theme
  • New theme, Hong Kong (the new favorite!)
  • Bug fixed in temperature calculations
  • Conversions returning very small values no longer return zero
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later, the new version of Convertible is available now in the App Store. A month ago, Convertible went free for several days. I was able to download it then, thanks to our very own AppsGoneFree feature. But if you weren't, you can download it now in the App Store for $1.99. Of course, existing users of the app can update to the new version for free.
