Updated: Gmail And Other Google Services Are Hit By Outage

April 17, 2013
Gmail users are reporting intermittent service outages today, April 17. In addition, there are problems with other services include Google Drive, and the Admin control panel. Google technicians are attempting to fix the issue, according to The Next Web. When someone attempts to use a service that is down, they are receiving this message:
Sorry, there seems to be a problem. The service you’re looking for is temporarily unavailable. We’re working hard to restore your access as soon as possible. Please try again in a few hours. Thanks for your patience.
A Google spokesperson told TNW:
We are providing more information and frequent updates through our Google Apps Status Dashboard, which you can find here. We will post the root cause of the issue there when our teams have completed their investigation. In the meantime, for everyone who is affected, we apologize – we know you count on Google to work for you and we’re working hard to restore normal operation for you.
Updated: Gmail, and Google Drive are coming back online. The Admin control panel API, however, remains offline. We'll keep you updated on this story.
