Context-Based Restaurant Finder App Ness Updated With Search Enhancements

June 19, 2013
Ness, the highly rated instant restaurant recommendation app, has received another major update. Late last April, Ness got its big 2.0 update, which introduced a new interface built around context-based restaurant recommendations. Since then, it has been issued three updates, including this latest one. The app's 2.0.1 update came in early May with an expanded restaurant database and an enhanced interface for submitting database improvements. Then, its 2.0.2 update arrived in mid-May with support for syncing with Ness on the Web and for sharing lists with friends. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Now, Ness 2.1 is here, and it delivers a significantly redesigned Search section with the following new features:
  • Autocomplete: Looking for a specific restaurant? Just start typing and Ness will finish your thought for you.
  • Integrated Map View: See a map overview side-by-side with the search results.
  • Thumbnail Photos: Preview each restaurant's photo gallery right from the search results page.
  • Dare to Compare: See the average rating from the crowd vs. how much Ness thinks you'll personally enjoy the place.
Ness 2.1 is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later. If you're interested in other restaurant finder apps, take a look at this AppAdvice AppGuide. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
