Could The Nyco Project's New EP Be The Most Innovative Music App Yet?

June 25, 2013
The New Machine EP, a universal app from London-based band The Nyco Project, promises to offer users a new, "innovative" means of experiencing music on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Supported by Arts Council England, the application allows users "to experience music in a way [they] haven't experienced it before. Sight, hearing, touch, and choice are involved in a new approach to music and audiovisual art." Three songs are available in The New Machine EP, each of which can be deconstructed into its component parts. The Nyco Project explains:
Each music video shows each artist playing their instrument as it was filmed when it was recorded, in different locations, following the musicjelly principle "everything you hear you see." Users have the ability to solo and mute individual parts and discover information about the recordings.
It's a fun, interesting app, and is definitely something music fans will appreciate. Take a look at The New Machine EP now. At the moment, it's available to download in the App Store free of charge, and is optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
