Narrato App Updated With Support For Multiple Journals Plus Other Improvements

August 3, 2013
Just a couple of weeks after its launch, the gorgeously iOS 7-ready Narrato Journal has already received its first update — and its first update is already a major one at that. Narrato Journal's first update delivers a few improvements, the most significant of which is support for multiple journals. In the new version of the app, you can now create multiple journals for specific topics in your life's narrative, so to speak, by going to the app's new Journals section. In addition to your main journal, you can, say, write a journal about your food adventures, maintain a separate journal about your pet cat, and have another specifically about your trip to London. And if you wish to copy an entry in one journal to another, you can just tap and hold it to "rejournal" it. Another new feature brought by Narrato Journal's update happens to be the most requested. The original omission was actually pointed out by Christine in her review of the app here on AppAdvice:
I like the idea of Narrato, and I think that it is executed well. However, I did notice that the temperature on Day by Day is shown only in Celsius, and there is no option to change it to Fahrenheit. I know that the rest of the world is on the Metric system, but unfortunately, the U.S. isn’t, so I wish that there was an option in Settings to choose between Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Well, Narrato Journal has been updated with support for displaying the temperature not only in Fahrenheit but also in Kelvin. Just go to the app's Settings section to select your preferred temperature unit. Narrato Journal has also been updated with the following improvements:
  • Tap and hold the camera button to add from photo library
  • Tap an image to make it full screen, pinch for zoom and swipe up or down to dismiss.
  • A new and more colorful view in the day view
  • An "About Narrato" section
  • Of course, many many bug fixes & improvements
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later, the new version of Narrato Journal is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $3.99 download. Note that Narrato Journal is subscription-based. Its purchase price already covers the first year of subscription. Renewable annually for $4.99, the subscription allows unlimited photos and entries to be saved in Narrato's dedicated cloud servers. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
