Walmart Is Already Discounting The iPhone 5c And iPhone 5s

September 12, 2013
If you’re planning on buying one of the new iPhones, you might want to consider visiting Walmart. The retail giant is offering the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s at discounted prices. The company offers handsets that run on AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon Wireless. Walmart is offering the entry-level iPhone 5c at just $79, which is a $20 savings. The least extensive iPhone 5s will set you back $189, which is a $10 discount. Like other retailers, Walmart will begin accepting iPhone 5c preorders beginning tomorrow, Sept. 13. There will be no preorders available on the iPhone 5s. Both handsets arrive on Friday, Sept. 20 in the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. As noted by 9to5Mac, Walmart's discounts could lead markdowns at other locations:

Walmart’s discounts are currently only available in stores, and not online. See also: Wall Street Is Unimpressed With Apple’s 'Nobody’s Low-Margin' iPhone 5c, and Here's How Twitter Reacted To The iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c And More
