AmpKit+ Gets Amped Up To Version 2.0 With Setlists And Controller Support

December 22, 2013
AmpKit+, the popular guitar amp and effects studio app developed by Agile Partners, has just been updated to version 2.0, over three years after its release in the App Store. While it doesn't introduce any design tweaks for iOS 7 at all, AmpKit+ 2.0 does introduce a couple of significant new features. First off, there's the concept of setlists for controlling and organizing your setups:
  • Setlists deliver masterful control over your setups for playing live shows, practicing, or simply organizing groups of setups just the way you want them.
  • You have total control of the order of setups within the Setlist.
  • Each Setlist can include a mix of your personal setups and AmpKit presets.
  • Extra-large navigation buttons enable fast switching between setups, even when playing live.
And then there's MIDI and AirTurn controller support, which lets you use MIDI and AirTurn-style devices to control the app's amps and pedals. This also lets you navigate setups and Setlists. AmpKit+'s MIDI and AirTurn controller support works with most iOS-compatible external controllers, including local, network and Bluetooth MIDI devices and Bluetooth foot controllers like the AirTurn. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, AmpKit+ 2.0 is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $8.99 download. A free lite version of the app simply called AmpKit is also available in the App Store. It has also been updated to version 2.0 with the aforementioned new features.
