Fotopedia Reporter Updated To Version 2.0 With Universal Support For iPhone

January 16, 2014
Fotopedia Reporter, one of the many apps developed by the eponymous photo encyclopedia site founded by a group of former Apple employees, has just been updated to version 2.0. First off, the update brings about a slight name change. As a result, Fotopedia Reporter is now simply called Fotopedia. Apparently, the minor rebranding comes as a side effect of the update's most notable contribution: universal support. Fotopedia, formerly Fotopedia Reporter, was launched in April last year for iPad and iPad mini only. Now, thanks to its 2.0 update, the app has been made compatible with iPhone and iPod touch as well. However, the "reporter" feature of the app is not yet supported on iPhone and iPod touch. That is, creating stories is exclusive to the app's iPad edition for now. Futhermore, organizing favorites in collections, following photographers and travelers, and commenting on stories are currently available on Fotopedia for iPad only. That said, here are some of the things you can do with Fotopedia on iPhone as well as on iPad:
  • Browse the Fotopedia magazine for curated stories crafted by locals and travelers
  • Use the map to find the best experiences at home or abroad
  • Share your discoveries with friends
Fotopedia 2.0 is available now in the App Store for free. It's compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later. The newly updated app also includes for its iPad edition a new story editor with support for themes and photo import integration with Flickr and Dropbox. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
