Reconnaissance Feed Wrangler Client Updated With Universal Support For iPad

February 7, 2014
Reconnaissance has just gone universal, four months after its release in the App Store. Reconnaissance is a feed reader app that's designed specifically for Feed Wrangler, the premium RSS service that was launched a couple of months prior to Google Reader's demise last year. As such, the app offers all of the features of the Feed Wrangler API, including full support for subscriptions, smart streams, online search, and article bookmarking. As mentioned, Reconnaissance has just been updated with universal support. Launched initially for iPhone and iPod touch last October, the app is now duly optimized for iPad and iPad mini, with a side panel for navigation and a main panel for content display. The new universal version of Reconnaissance also includes the following improvements:
  • Added option to sync when app is opened
  • Reduced size of items in list mode slightly
  • Added option to change fonts
  • Clarified mark as read confirmation settings
  • Bug fixes
Now natively compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later, Reconnaissance is available in the App Store for $1.99. Reconnaissance was last updated just a couple of weeks ago, thereby gaining support for automatic switching between dark and light themes, along with other improvements.
