Scout By Telenav Turns Into Your Very Own Personal Traffic Reporter With Latest Update

The popular personal navigation app Scout has just taken a turn for the better with its latest update. Most notably, the new update adds real-time traffic alerts to Scout, effectively turning the app into your very own traffic reporter that monitors your commute every day and suggests the most efficient route. With Scout's traffic alerts, you can be informed of when exactly to leave as you get to be updated on the traffic conditions and any incidents along your commute. Still on the all-important subject of traffic, the new version of Scout also features an improved traffic summary:

Your route summary is easier to view and helps you avoid traffic, all from one screen! Scout is the only navigation app that shows you turn-by-turn traffic conditions with the convenience of audio playback of incidents along your route. Simply swipe the traffic segment you want to avoid.

The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later. Scout was last updated in December, with support for hands-free voice commands and social media account login for syncing favorites, recent places, and settings across multiple devices. Prior to that, the app was updated in October with Adaptive Routing, which automatically determines if a faster route is available as you drive. A similar feature was added to Google Maps for iOS only a few days ago.
