Sprout NOW Offers Live And On Demand Programming For Preschoolers On iOS Devices

February 26, 2014
Sprout, the television network for preschoolers, has announced the arrival of Sprout NOW, which gives users unlimited access to both live and on demand programming, regardless of the device. At launch, Sprout NOW is available via the Web and through a new iOS app for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. Sprout NOW, which derives its name from Bravo NOW, offers Sprout’s live linear stream of programming, as well as full episodes on demand. Available programming includes original series such as “The Chica Show,” and “Noodle and Doodle,” plus other titles like “Sesame Street,” “Caillou,” and “Lazytown.” Sprout, like Bravo, is owned by NBCUniversal. According to Sandy Wax, the president of the network:
Sprout was originally conceived as a multi-platform destination for preschoolers and their caregivers, and it’s always been a cornerstone of our strategy to ensure our series and content are available wherever families are.
Sprout NOW is available to subscribers of the following cable, satellite, and telco services: AT&T U-verse TV, BrightHouse, Cablevision’s Optimum TV, Charter, Comcast’s Xfinity TV, Cox Communications, DirecTV, Mediacom, Time Warner Cable, Verizon FiOS, and Wide Open West (WOW). The Sprout NOW app is available to download by clicking here.
