Weather Underground Gains Home Screen Customization, Hazard Reports And More

February 13, 2014
The official iOS app of the popular online weather forecasting service Weather Underground has just received another update that adds several new features. The latest update to Weather Underground for iOS lets you customize the app's home screen with drag-and-drop support for reordering the content tiles to suit your preference. The update also adds support for hazard reports. This allows you to submit reports of hazardous road conditions or else view reports of the same by other users in your area. Moreover, you can now share forecasts and maps right from the app by tapping the new share button at the top right corner, which offers options for sharing via email, text, Twitter, Facebook, AirDrop, and more. The new version of Weather Underground also features 64-bit support for faster loading on iPhone 5s and includes some minor design tweaks for simpler navigation. The new version of Weather Underground is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later. Weather Underground was redesigned for iOS 7 last November. At the same time, it was updated with several significant improvements, including landscape mode support, interactive graphs, and a crowd reporting feature that lets users verify data. It was last updated in December with a dark mode and support for "feels like" temperature, among a handful of other enhancements. Weather Underground is listed as a "notable app" in AppAdvice's Best iPhone Weather Apps AppGuide. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
