Are You Ready For The Boom? Supercell Launches Clash Of Clans Follow-Up Boom Beach

As expected (earlier than expected, actually), Supercell has officially released Boom Beach, its follow-up to the hugely popular Clash of Clans.
Like Clash of Clans, Boom Beach is a free-to-play combat strategy game. But unlike Clash of Clans, which is played mainly in medieval villages, Boom Beach is played primarily in island bases:

Take your expeditionary force to beautiful paradise islands invaded by the enemy. Fight for every beachhead, free enslaved islanders and explore the uncharted archipelago. Boom Beach is the third iOS title from Supercell, which first released the popular free-to-play farming game Hay Day in June 2012 and the aforementioned Clash of Clans the following August.
