Yahoo Updates Flickr For iOS With Improvements For Album Sharing, Groups And More

June 12, 2014
Yahoo has issued another major update to the official iOS app of its popular photo-sharing service, Flickr. This update follows up on the big 3.0 update that was released for the app last April, which brought about a complete redesign with new editing tools, live filters, and more. (See video below.) For its part, the new update brings Flickr for iOS to version 3.1 with several improvements. First off, the update lets you share your Flickr albums via email, text, Facebook, Twitter, and, of course, the Yahoo-owned Tumblr. It also lets you add and edit the tags and description for your photo. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Moreover, Flickr 3.1 allows you to invite photos to a group if you're a group admin and to receive notifications when your photo is invited to a group. The latest update to Flickr also delivers the usual performance improvements and bug fixes. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later, Flickr 3.1 is available now in the App Store for free.
