Conan O'Brien makes fun of the 'flaccid' iPhone 6 Plus

September 26, 2014

You know something has reached the mainstream when Conan O’Brien gets involved. The late night comedian recently introduced a funny new video that pokes fun at the alleged bendiness of the iPhone 6 Plus. In doing so, he gives the “Samsung Galaxy” props for being “rigid & stiff,” unlike the “not quite ramrod-straight” iPhone 6.

Take a look:

As you probably know, Apple has had a bad week despite announcing it had sold a record 10 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units during the first weekend of release. One of issues challenging Apple has been whether the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus is easy to bend.

On Thursday, Apple addressed what is now known as “Bendgate,” by stating that only nine people have complained about their new iPhone bending. The company also invited journalists to tour its test tab to debunk the issue.

I’m fairly confident O’Brien won’t be the only comedian trying to make hay out of this before everyone moves on to other matters. When they do, we’ll let you know.
