Gazelle launches a Certified Pre-Owned service for iPhone and iPad

October 30, 2014

Gazelle, one of the most popular places online to sell old iOS devices, has introduced a “smarter way to buy smart devices.” The new Gazelle Certified Pre-Owned service offers “a great deal on gently used devices” with “no contracts or strings attached.”

The new program currently features the following certified phones: the iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, and iPhone 5s. It also offers certified tablets: the iPad 2, the third- and fourth-generation iPad, and iPad mini.

“Certified Like New” means “you’ll never know it was pre-owned. Looks like it came right out of the original box.” “Certified Good” means “the screen is very good. There may be scuffs and scratches on the side or back. It’s nothing that a cover can’t hide.”

All Gazelle Certified products come with a 30-point inspection and 30-day risk-free returns.

Some sample offerings include:

  • A “Certified Like New” 32GB iPhone 5s is $379, and is available unlocked or tied to AT&T or Verizon. Space grey version only. Models in silver and gold are $429.
  • A “Certified Like New” 32GB iPad with Retina display is $339 in black. The white version is out of stock.

I have always considered Gazelle one of the best places to go to trade-in old iOS devices. I expect that its newest program will prove very popular.
