Grab Camera+ now for free via the Apple Store app

October 24, 2014

Apple is once again using the Apple Store app to offer another spectacular title for free. For a limited time, you can download third-party camera app Camera+ for no cost. It usually goes for $2.99.

To grab Camera+ for free, you’ll first need to download the Apple Store app, if you don’t already have it.

After opening up the app, select the “Stores” tab. On that page, scroll down until you see the Camera+ icon with the title “The Ultimate Photo app.” Select that, and the app is yours for no cost.

Camera+, which is designed for the iPhone and iPod touch, received a nice update back in September that takes advantage of a number of iOS 8 specific features.

In the latest version of iOS, Apple opened up manual camera controls for third-party apps. And Camera+ has added a new wheel control. Photographers can capture a perfect shot with both manual focus and manual exposure settings. New white balance presets and a Macro shooting mode were also added.

With the new app extension feature, users can edit their images in Camera+ directly from the stock Photos app.
