World of Tanks Blitz updated with new British vehicles, cross-platform play and more
World of Tanks Blitz, the “thrilling” iOS adaptation of Wargaming’s hit World of Tanks console MMORPG, has recently been issued its biggest update yet.
Dubbed “British Steel,” the latest update to World of Tanks Blitz introduces a new line of British vehicles featuring 10 of Britain’s iconic medium tanks, in addition to the game’s existing American, German, and Russian tanks.
The update also introduces a new map called Winter Malinovka. “This snowy countryside will quickly become home to some of the fiercest combat yet seen in Blitz!” Wargaming notes.

Moreover, the new World of Tanks Blitz update includes the following enhancements:
- Implemented Crew Training mechanics
- Enhanced graphics for all maps
- Reworked the Battle Results screen
- Added X2 bonus indicator to the Garage
- Improved hit indicator for sniper view
- Updated Oasis Palms map
Coinciding with the release of its British Steel update, World of Tanks Blitz has also been updated with support for cross-platform play, as it’s now available on Android as well as iOS. This means that you can now play with or against other players on both platforms.
