Electronic Arts holds grand opening of Sunset Mall in The Sims FreePlay
Following its holiday update last month, The Sims FreePlay has received its first update of the year.
Most notably, the latest update to the game sees the grand opening of the Sunset Mall, where you can take your Sims to shop till they drop.
At the mall, you can go to a number of new shops to check out more than 500 new clothes, shoes, and accessories for all age groups. Completing the Sunset Mall quest also unlocks the new burger bar.
The new version of The Sims FreePlay also introduces a couple of new hobbies. One is the new modeling hobby, which lets you hit the catwalk with the latest fashion trends. And the other is the bowling hobby, which lets you play at the bowling alley and unlock the new juice bar for some healthy slurping to boot.

The new The Sims FreePlay update also ushers in the festive Lunar New Year quest, which starts on Feb. 14, five days before the actual Chinese New Year this year.
The Sims FreePlay is the mobile edition of Electronic Arts’ popular The Sims life simulation game, which is a spinoff of the SimCity open-ended city-building game.
As announced by Electronic Arts last week, The Sims 4, the latest installment in the Sims series, is set to be launched on Mac next month. But the game’s gallery companion app, The Sims 4 Gallery, is already out on iOS.
