Create your own digital shoebox of memories with lifetile
Some of us from the older generations will remember saving precious memories in a shoebox. From family photographs to love letters, marriage certificates to important documents, we would store our most cherished memories in a shoebox kept under the bed or on a shelf in the closet. In the digital era, it’s been more difficult to store this kind of legacy in a simple and secure place. With the new iOS app Lifetile, though, you can have your own digital shoebox.
Lifetile’s website, launched in September of 2014, supports this digital legacy by helping each user clearly define how their content will be managed in the event of their death. The account holder, whose profile is memorialized on receipt of a death certificate, can dictate in advance which parts of their digital legacy will be passed on to family members, what will be deleted, and which content will be released to the public.
Using Lifetile’s iOS app, you can easily store and relive the highlights of your life, those moments that truly matter. You can capture your children’s early years, record family life, and save memorable moments like weddings, parties, special days, and holidays. The app allows you to quickly and easily sort, caption, and tag each of your events to craft your life story, a digital legacy that can be enjoyed for many years.
Lifetile is available now as a free download from the App Store. It requires iOS 7.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
