An amusing new game was released today, June 10, called Where’s that Emoji? The concept is pretty simple. You just have to find the emoji that pops up using the keyboard-like screen. You have only seconds to locate and tap the correct emoji to keep playing, otherwise you will have to start again.
There are two different modes to play. You can try the single-player mode where you strive to get the highest score possible. You get a point for each correct answer within the time limit. Or, you can battle it out with your Facebook friends in the multiplayer mode to find as many emojis as you can in 60 seconds.
Now, if you are normally good at quickly finding the emojis you want for your text messages and emails, then you will probably score big and even beat your friends at this new game. But, if you are like some of us who struggle to find the simplest chicken, glass of beer, or row boat then it will definitely take some practice. (Maybe us strugglers will actually get better at finding the emojis needed for messages by playing this game.)
The graphics are very basic, but they do not need to be any fancier for this game. The emojis look just like those you are used to seeing already. There is also peppy music to keep the game feeling upbeat.
Where’s that Emoji? is an ad-supported game available for free on the App Store. There is an in-app purchase option to remove the ads and the game is designed for both iPhone and iPad.
