MonoShot gives you more shooting options than a selfie stick
There are a lot of times when you want to take pictures or video of yourself, but there just aren’t many good, inexpensive options for smartphones. If you just want a still image, a selfie stick can do the trick, but what about when you want to record your golf shot or your Tai Chi routines? Sure, there are various options out there, but most of them are either too small or too large. One project on KickStarter, the MonoShot, hopes to bring the perfect solution to you.

The MonoShot is a monopod with attachments for use on different terrain. There is a removable tripod stand for setting the MonoShot up freestanding to take pictures or video of yourself or a group of people.
You also get a spike attachment, allowing you to easily secure the MonoShot in soft grass or sand. At the other end of the accessory is a universal clamp that fits most smartphones, including the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
If you mount the video head on the bottom of the MonoShot, you have a selfie stick that extends up to five feet.
Remote operation
Finally, the MonoShot comes with a Bluetooth-enabled shutter remote, allowing you to control your smartphone’s camera from up to 30 feet away.
Getting the MonoShotMonoShot is currently seeking funding on KickStarter, and has reached more than $9,500 of its $14,500 goal as of the time of this writing. There are still 24 days left in the campaign, so there is plenty of time to reserve your own MonoShot. The accessory is projected to begin shipping in December 2015.
