You do a lot of reading and research for terrific new apps to try, especially on your favorite sites like AppAdvice. With a new way to discover and share comes Picker which lets you find cool apps in a social environment.

How to use Picker

To begin using the app, there is a simple few-step process. First, you just visit the Picker website and add the button to your browser bookmarks. Then, download the app for your iPhone. With both the browser button and iPhone app, you will log in with your Facebook account.

PickerWhen you are set up with both, just tap the button when you are browsing the Web or App Store when you see an app you like. You can then choose to Pick It or Download it. You will then see the app within Picker on your phone and you can download it directly or just save it for later.

With Picker you can follow other users and also invite your friends. See which apps they have picked and then pick them yourself, download them, or share them with others. You can check out your newsfeed to see which new apps have been picked and receive notifications when others have shared something with you.

Although there is not a full app description for those picked, there are photos, the star rating, and price information. Clicking the download link takes you directly to the App Store to get that next great app.
