After officially launching one year ago today in the United States, Apple Pay arrived in the United Kingdom during the summer. It’s rumored to arrive in Canada sometime before the end of the year.

Earlier this month, Apple’s Jennifer Bailey announced that the technology would roll out to Starbucks and a number of other restaurant locations, like Chili’s and KFC, in 2016.

It’s nice to see so many banks and credit unions jumping on the Apple Pay bandwagon. Hopefully Apple can help push the system out to even more retailers as well.
