Doculus takes the pain out of viewing documents on iPhone

Getting Stuff Done

Viewing a business document on the small screen of a smartphone can be a huge nuisance. Sure, you can zoom in to make text and figures larger, but then you will likely have to scroll every which way to continue reading other parts of the document. What’s more, there’s no easy way to scan through comments and redlines.

Enter: Doculus.

Optimized for mobile

Doculus is an app designed to make reading business documents on mobile easier. Take a look at its promo video:

As demoed in the video, Doculus boasts features that take the pain out of viewing files such as sales contracts and agreements on an iPhone.

It provides a document summary with the automatically created table of contents, including titles, sections, exhibits, charts, images, and tables. And speaking of tables, you can also sort and filter tables to easily extract important data.

Moreover, you need not pinch to zoom as the app automatically optimizes the font and the format for better readability, while still allowing you to adjust the font size. And you can easily review comments and redlines, so you’re always in the know and on top of changes and developments.

Doculus also lets you reply regarding the document via email right from the app.

Compatible with popular formats

Doculus works with popular file formats including Microsoft Word and Google Docs, with support for PDF coming soon.

It also integrates with your email so that new attachments are automaticaly imported for you to work on right away within the app.

Furthermore, the team behind Doculus (pictured below) has announced that it’s partnering with Microsoft — which itself has just announced additional cloud storage integration for Office — on integrating Doculus with Office 365. This integration allows access to documents stored in Office 365 right within Doculus and streamlined editing with Word.
