Love iPhone Apps? Have an Opinion on All of them? We've Got a Job for You!

If you're an iPhone "appaholic" who seems to have an opinion on every aspect of an application, we'd love to talk to you about becoming an AppAdvice Application Reviewer.

AppAdvice is currently seeking reviewers that can tackle a particular category of applications and provide 2 or more detailed application reviews every day.

Among the categories where we need writers are:

Social Networking, Productivity, Utilities, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Music, Reference, Travel, Sports, Navigation, Healthcare and Fitness, Photography, Business, Finance, Weather, Books and Medical.

The successful candidate for this position will be a detail oriented writer who is methodical in his or her approach to evaluating new applications and capable of developing and maintaining a set of consistent criteria upon which to evaluate each application.  As a reviewer you're not here to say everything is great.  What our readers need are critical analysis on what is good, what is weak, what can be improved and how one application compares to another.

The keys to success in this position will be consistency, thoroughness and strict attention to detail.  Being unafraid to state your opinion is also crucial.  Prior writing experience is necessary and previous work reviewing technology is a plus.

In addition to being on top of  iPhone news including all other iPhone oriented blogs, the writer should be comfortable contacting developers of iPhone applications and developing relationships with these individuals as a means of sourcing scoops and getting a first look at new applications before the rest of the world sees them.

Authors will receive a byline for every post, a personal profile page that includes the author's photo, links to the author's own personal pages and an index of all the stories each author has written for AppAdvice.com.  You'll also get access to our immense repository of iPhone applications which means that just about any application you've ever wanted you can now have for free.  Cash compensation is dependent upon experience.

If you'd like to apply for this position, please send an email with a cover letter, your resume and at least three writing samples of news stories similar to what we've described above.  If you also have links to published work currently online that would be a plus.

Please send your application to jobs@appadvice.com.  Thanks!
