Acupuncture Meridians from Thalamic Neuron Theory
What is it about?
This app uses the special visual and interactive power of your iOS device to demonstrate the twelve primary meridians on a model of the human fetus. The user can highlight any meridian or combination of meridians by tapping on the meridian on the model or by selecting the meridian from a table. The user can easily learn or review the sequence of energy flow through the twelve traditional and natural two hour periods each corresponding to a meridian that make up our current twenty-four hour day. The user can use all the usual iOS gestures to manipulate the model in space and to get close-up views.

Furthermore the app has a slider whereby the user can move the fetal model into a deep tuck and conversely uncurl the model into a virtual standing position. Curling and uncurling the model will show the relationships between the six command acupuncture points and the regions of the body which they command. This app promotes a visual and interactive "thought experiment" to begin to test Dr. Lee's Thalamic Neuron Theory. What previously could be seen only in the mind's eye is now here for the user to explore.
