Cakbur the Game

by Hansel Matthew

What is it about?

Were you aware that Indonesia boasts more than 2,000 traditional games played across various ethnicities and regions? Unfortunately, as the world modernizes, many of these cherished pastimes have been forgotten and are no longer played. To address this issue, I have created an app called Cakbur the iPad Game, inspired by one of Indonesia's most popular traditional field games, also known as Gobak Sodor, Galah Asin, Galasin, Gobag, or Galah Panjang, depending on the region.

Were you aware that Indonesia boasts more than 2,000 traditional games played across various ethnicities and regions? Unfortunately, as the world modernizes, many of these cherished pastimes have been forgotten and are no longer played. The app allows players to take on the role of the attacking team, with the goal of reaching the finish line without getting hit by any of the guard teams. Additionally, the app features an attacker-switch mechanism that enables players to switch attackers and plan their strategies with greater creativity. Developed using Apple's SpriteKit framework by an Indonesia indie developer, Hansel Matthew
