Local Buzzard is designed to assist motorists protect their vehicles by encouraging communities to work together. The app allows users to send Alerts using Registration numbers. The app can be used by drivers or individuals who do not own a vehicle as users can choose to skip the Vehicle Registration process. Anyone can send an Alert however, in order to receive an Alert, users will have to register their Vehicle Registration.
The idea is to allow motorists to be informed when there is an avoidable issue with their vehicle which they are unaware of, for example, valuables being left in the vehicle or lights being left on.
Drivers will be given the opportunity to vote whether the Alert received was useful or not. As a thank you, users are expected to look out for fellow motorists and in doing this, we will create community cohesion.
We hope to bring communities together to minimise vehicle crime, damage and in the long run save motorists some money.
