myNewWay® is a smartphone app that delivers a tailored program to help you learn ways to improve symptoms of anxiety and depression. It is designed so you can use it with your psychologist and on your own in between sessions.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
myNewWay® delivers a tailored program of activities based on your needs. The smartphone app helps you to focus on your individual strengths and suggests ways you can improve your mental wellbeing and cope when things get tough.

Work your way through a package of recommended activities that have been tailored to meet your needs.
Learn
Watch personal stories from people with lived experience and work your way through eight different programs: Feel Happier, Cope with Anxiety, Feel more Relaxed, Sleep Better, Think Positively, Build Confidence, Increase Focus and Manage Emotions.
Relieve
Access quick relief activities to help you feel more calm, such as deep breathing, and exercises to bring you back to the present.
Track
Rate your mood, anxiety, and sleep to see how these change over time and add notes to provide more context.
Reflect
Look back on how far you’ve come by seeing how many activities you’ve completed, the number of days you’ve been using the smartphone app, and all your activity summaries.
WHO CREATED THE APP?
The myNewWay® smartphone app was designed by people with lived experience of anxiety or depression, therapists and researchers from the Black Dog Institute. The myNewWay® activities include evidence-based skills that have been proven to help people manage anxiety and depression (e.g., Cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and identifying personal values).
