What is the Out In Service App?The Out In Service app is a special tool designed to help you find partners for field service. It lets you know who else in your congregation needs a service partner, as well as others in nearby halls who could also use a service partner. It can help you:-- Make the best use of your time (Ephesians 5:15,16)-- Widen out in your association (1 Peter 2:17) and -- Fully accomplish your ministry (2 Timothy 4:5).

Why Was Out In Service Created?Imagine it’s a beautiful Saturday afternoon and your car group has finished for the day. You would like to continue in your ministry, but you currently don’t have a partner, and you don’t know who else is staying out. Do you call it a day and go in? If you have Out In Service on your device you may have some great options.

How Do I Use Out In Service?1. Open the app on your device2. Flip the "Activate Me" toggle switch at the top right3. Enter a time you are "Staying Out Until"4. Check the "Service Types" you are open to5. Click on the "Set Availability" button6. You are now showing as "Available" for service. Other publishers can now see you are available for service. How Does Out In Service Help Me Find Service Partners?After marking yourself as "Available" in the system, other local brothers and sisters can see that you are looking for a service partner and how long you are open to staying out in service.Through the system you can message friends directly to make service plans, and they can message you. While making plans you can let friends know your circumstances. The system will ask if you need a ride or whether you can drive. Out In Service helps deepen friendships with those in your own congregation as well as helping to create new friendships with those in other congregations.

How Is The Out In Service App Supported?The Out In Service app was created by a regular pioneer brother and his 12-year-old future pioneer son. It runs completely on voluntary donations. All development, maintenance and improvement costs for this app come out of pocket. We want to keep this app available for free for everyone as long as the preaching work continues to exist. Because it is related to pure worship it can never contain ads. So, if you enjoy the Out In Service app or find it useful, please know that donations are welcomed. There is a page inside the app as well as a donate page on the website where donations can be made securely.

Is Out In Service an "official" JW app?

No. The Out In Service app is not sponsored by, nor was it created in conjunction with the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania or any of its affiliated organizations. It is just a tool created by a publisher who loves the preaching work and saw a way to help further field service arrangements for himself and others.

We love our brothers and sisters and hope this tool ends up being useful for the preaching work we have all been given.
