Distant learning is now in session. We as parents quickly learned how difficult it is for some children to have the self-discipline to focus on school work while being on their Mac. It's really easy to swap between tabs when the parent is not looking :)

This year, it doesn’t have to be so hard. Say hi to pingpong!

With one switch, the parent can place the child's browser into "work" mode, which means all distracting websites like youtube* and comics are instantly blocked**. When school and homework is done, simply switch to "play" and allow your child to browse freely***.

What is possible with pingpong:
- block unlimited websites on Mac computers
- add unlimited Mac computers
- see what mode the computer is in (check toolbar on mac)
- receive notification when your child wants to play
- receive notification when your child has quit pingpong
- easy set up

How to set it up
1. Install pingpong iPhone app
2. Sign up to create an admin account
3. Intall pingpong Mac app
4. Sign in to Mac up using the same email from step 2
5. Your phone will automatically connect to the computer
6. Add your child's name and picture
7. Select websites you'd like to block for "work" mode
8. Switch to “play” mode to unblock websites
9. Enjoy :)

Best Practices
*check your child's computer to make sure all *YOUTUBE* tabs are closed before setting the computer into "work" mode. If a video has been preloaded on a browser tab, it will continue playing even if you set the computer into "work" mode
**check the history on your child's computer to learn about the websites that are the most distracting during school time, then add them to blocked list
***make your child’s browser has standard, age appropriate controls on. Pingpong does not protect against adult websites, please ensure your child’s computer is set to the appropriate age
