App Store Description

Using Saagara, you can feel good that the any personal care product you use is safe for you and the ocean life including the coral reefs and other marine creatures. It's easy-to-use – just scan the ingredients on the container, or a picture of it on the web if you plan to order online, and Saagara will recommend whether or not to use it. It's free!

It checks the ingredients for harmful chemicals and micro plastics against several certified sources to check if all the ingredients in your product are safe for you and the environment too. It lists out the list of harmful chemicals, if any, along with the recommendation.

After each scan, it also displays, as part of the results, an interesting image conveying a fact about the preservation of the environment, or eco-friendly brands, or information about harmful chemicals, and so on. These images are designed with custom made messages and graphics and are stored in and retrieved from a web server, and displayed in the app. They change for each scan, and attempt to both educate the user and preserve user engagement. If the user selects a product with no harmful ingredients, it applauds their decision and titles the educational image with "Thank you for protecting the Earth". If the product contains harmful ingredients, it titles the image as " Food for Thought" and attempts to inspire the user to selecting a different product.

The constantly changing environment tit-bits make the app novel in every use and educational.
