'Space Pirates!' is a fun language development game which combines vocabulary and concepts in strange and unusual ways, to teach semantics, vocabulary and concepts in a fun and spontaneous way.

==================
Hey, traveller! Want to race across the galaxy? Fight space pirates? Fly through wormholes? Teach weird aliens about human life? Ever wondered how you an exercise with a toaster? Yeah? Then hop in! Grab up to six of your space buddies and see who'll be first to get to the edge of the galaxy!

To get to the edge of the galaxy, you'll have to fly from one planet to another. Along the way you'll meet strange space aliens, who are fascinated by human life! They'll ask you some strange questions, so be prepared for anything. And the more time you spend helping them understand, the better your reward - the aliens will give you fuel in return for your help, and the more fuel you have, the faster you'll get to the finish post!

It's pretty dangerous out there in space. So bring your ray guns, because there's a whole load of space pirates out there waiting to blast your ship to pieces!

And if that wasn't enough, you might just find a wormhole or two on your travels. Fly safely through the wormhole, and you'll end up a bit closer to your goal. But crash out of the wormhole, and you never know where you might end up...
==================

'Space Pirates!' is fun and educational for kids of all ages. It is aimed at Speech and Language Pathologists, Speech and Language Therapists, teachers, teaching assistants, parents, and anyone else who works with children with language delays and disorders, learning difficulties, autism and other developmental difficulties. It's also fun for typically developing kids too!

The game is best played with an adult present to facilitate the learning aspect of the game. There are no right or wrong answers - the idea is to encourage children to think flexibly and spontaneously, and to verbalise the connections they are making.

Features include:

VOCABULARY
An ever-growing vocabulary of nouns, verbs and adjectives, randomly selected during each round of learning.

VARIED QUESTION TYPES
More than 40 different question patterns present vocabulary combinations in fun and novel ways, getting kids thinking outside the box.

VARIABLE DIFFICULTY
Three difficult levels within both vocabulary selections and question types, and the option to select which word types to include.

QUICK REWARDS
Minigames are available every round, helping kids to feel rewarded for the short bursts of learning the will do each time they take a turn.

REWARDS LONGER WORKING TIME
The more time players spend talking through the answers to the questions, the more fuel they will receive for their next turn. This encourages children to take their time and really think through their answers rather than rushing on to the next turn.
