The platform developed by Sankara Eye Hospital - Sankara Academy of Vision and University of Bonn allows remote teleconsultation and enhanced referral capability for those in need of tertiary eye care services. Sudarshan allows patient retinal images to be uploaded and the same being evaluated in a remote reading centre by retinal specialists . The aim is to enable early referral and management thereby preventing blindness especially in rural India.
