App Store Description

Ypay app helps students find the nearest free meal on campus and lets the event organizers attract their target audience – free of charge

Key Features:

College Students:
* Find free food events at or near your campus
* Share the free food event with the Ypay community

Event Organizers:
* Advertize your free food event FOR FREE: for clubs, universities, companies…
* Invite specific group of students to your free food event (sex, year, major)

Ypay is the first free-food-event-finder app, developed just for you. It works as a community based app where its users are able to upload free food events that they see. We like to think of ourselves as the “Craigslist for free food events”. Ypay is beneficial for both college students and event organizers. When you discover a free food event you are able to share the location with the Ypay community, and at the same time, event organizers are able to promote themselves to specific student groups. Using a carefully designed algorithm Ypay sends you a push notification when a free food event is held at your campus, or you can simply use our interactive map to find out if there are any free food events close to you.

For Hungry Students

As a student, you can attend all of the free food events on your campus and make sure that you can go the whole day without spending a dime for food. We know that most students cannot afford $15 organic meals on campus every day - that is why we developed Ypay. Why would you pay for food if you can get it for free? At the same time, you can help other students get their slice of free pizza by sharing the event with the entire Ypay community.

For Event Organizers

If you are an event organizer, you can use our free-of-charge service to select a specific group of students who you wish to attract. Our system will notify the specific group (based on their sex, year, and major) and will even make a priority list for those specific students to make sure that they get a slice of the free pizza, and you will make sure to get your message across to just the right students.

How It Works

Once you have downloaded your app from the App Store you have to go through a short registration. By completing your registration, you will even be able to sometimes cut in line and reserve that slice of free pizza.

If you see an event close to you and think that other students might enjoy it as well you can easily spread the word by simply clicking “pin an event”, and the event with all the information that you want to add will be pinned at your current location or a different location if you’re already further away from the event.

If you are organizing the event and you want to make sure that people attend you can simply create the event in the app or on our website, free of charge, and share it with the community. In case that you are looking for a specific part of the student body you can create and event that targets them and even create an unofficial queue and assign your target audience reservation numbers that they will show you when they attend. You can also monitor how many people are planning to attend so that you can adjust how much food you give away or if you have to order more.
