Apple has just released iOS 9.3.1 to fix a Web link crashing bug. The software is available to download over-the-air or through iTunes now.

Shortly after iOS 9.3 was released to the public a little more than a week ago, a number of users began to suffer from problems opening Web links in Safari and a number of other apps. Instead of opening the link, the app froze or completely crashed.

The cause of the issue still remains unknown. After the bug was publicized, Apple promised a fix “soon.”

We’ll let you know if any other changes are found in the software.

The Web link issue wasn’t the only problem with iOS 9.3. On Monday, March 28, Apple released a new build of iOS 9.3 to fix an Activation Lock issue suffered by some older device users including the iPhone 5s and earlier along with the iPad Air and earlier.

Some of those device owners might have been shown an Activation Lock screen requiring them to enter the Apple ID and password used to originally set up the device. If that information couldn’t be recalled, or was lost, the affected devices were rendered useless.
