Apple Updates Pages, Numbers, and Keynote

September 28, 2021

Apple just announced updates to its iWork suite of Keynote, Pages, and Numbers with a number of new features.

Keynote users can now take advantage of their front-facing camera on an iPhone, iPad, and Mac to add live video to a presentation. The feature will also allow a presenter to appear along with their slides.

On the Mac, you can connect multiple external cameras and show a screen of a connected iPhone or iPad on a slide.

Thanks to the multi-presenter option, more than one person can control a shared slideshow from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Pages now features a new experience specifically for iPhone. Screen View shows text, images, and other parts of a document in a single-column continuous flow made for the iPhone screen. The feature can be turned off at any time.

In Numbers, you can now create a pivot table to identify and analyze patterns and trends. The new radar chart makes it easy to visually compare multiple variables.

Alll three apps now also support translation features in iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and the upcoming macOS Monterey.

Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. Each app is free to download. All three are also available on the Mac App Store.
